IS THIS HEAVEN? – No it’s Iowa, where Pastor Dave and Barbara will be until next Saturday, April 23, visiting their son David at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City. Pastor Adrienne will preach and lead worship today and respond to pastoral emergencies while Pastor Dave is on vacation.

ADULT FAITH FORMATION – We take a break from Faith Formation today and begin again next week with our series titled “Ephesians: A Study in Unity.” Pastor Dave is leading this six-part series through the letter the Apostle Paul wrote to the churches of Ephesus focusing on the uniting and reconciling mission of Jesus Christ. You’re invited to come to this uplifting, energetic time of learning in the Library between worship services on Sundays, beginning at approximately 10:15 and ending at 10:55.

CHILDREN’S FAITH FORMATION/SUNDAY SCHOOL – for age 3-3rd grade continues! Our Faith Formation program is designed for children to be able to drop in any time they happen to be here. We’d love to have your child join us!

COMMITMENT SUNDAY – Next Sunday you will be invited to bring your Pledge Card forward during worship. Representatives of the Stewardship Committee are in the Narthex with Pledge Cards if you have not already received one. If you will not be in worship next Sunday, you may put your Pledge Card in the offering today or return it to the office. Thank you.

CROSS OF CHRIST HOSTS OUTDOORS FOR ALL – We are excited to welcome this outstanding organization which will be utilizing our parking lot for the next three Saturdays for their bicycling program. Founded in 1979 here in the Pacific Northwest, Outdoors for all is a national leader in delivering adaptive and therapeutic recreation for children and adults with disabilities. JOIN US AT THE BALLPARK – The LARKS are organizing an outing to Safeco Field for Sunday, September 4, to watch the Mariners play the Los Angeles Angels from our own private suite complete with great food! SPRING CLEANING TOWEL DRIVE – The Sunday School students are running a “Spring CLEANing” towel drive as part of their upcoming unit on being servants! They invite you to bring new and or good-condition used towels to the collection box in the Narthex now through April 24. The towels will be donated to Compass Housing Alliance which provides services to homeless people in Seattle. Thank you for your support!

TEE TIME FOR CROSS OF CHRIST GOLF – It’s Spring, and time to dust of your golf clubs! We begin play on Thursday, May 5, at 10:15am, at Snoqualmie Falls Golf Course in Fall City. There is a signup sheet at the Information Desk. If you have questions please call Tom Fine at 425 885 6750.

CONGREGATIONS FOR THE HOMELESS RETURNS IN MAY – Cross of Christ will once again host the men of Congregations for the Homeless next month. We are responsible for meals for the first part of the month. There will be a signup sheet at the Information Desk the next two Sundays. LEGACY PLANNING SEMINAR – What kind of legacy do you want to leave? Do you have a will, living trust, power of attorney, and medical directives to make sure your end of life wishes are carried out? What conversations should you have with your children and other family members about these issues? Does the church or pastor know what kind of funeral or memorial service you desire, what your favorite hymns are? An informative presentation sponsored by the Cross of Christ Endowment Board will be held on Saturday, May 14, at 9 am. A sign-up sheet is available at the Information Desk.
